And though the sense of merriment had ended voluntarily on the eve of hitting the big 3 o, I never fail to experience a myriad of emotions upon reaching the yearly milestone.

And though I go through the motions as if it were any other day, attempting to think nothing of it… but to no avail as I eventually take a step back in time to reflect on all that had come to pass.

Reflection that raises question marks.

The what ifs, what could or should have been…

People always say live life without regrets.

The question is how? Is such a notion even conceivable?

If life was lived without regrets, that would mean the perfect person living it.

One that could do no wrong, never erred on any action taken or decision made.

That person doesn’t exist. Not in my world.

The world is ever revolving.

For the show must go on.

History is past reckoning or reconciliation.

And soon all will be forgotten.

The intrepid traveler goes forward and beyond.

But ever so often, he lives life for the moment.
