Mood: Contented

Listening to: Concerto No 21 by Mozart

Harmony.

A sense of perfect balance.

Everything is where it should be.

A moment in time, flawless in its entirety.

*****

Absence does make the heart fonder.

Sometimes, too long an absence makes the heart forget.

Perhaps, only by forgetting do we achieve the purity of heart and clarity of mind.

In the stilness that follows, we can finally achieve peace and harmony of body and soul.

Mood: Relaxed

Listening to: Right As Rain by Adele

Splitter, splatter.

Rain won’t cease.

Everything gets wet.

~

Splitter, splatter.

Raindrops fall heavily.

Puddles forming everywhere.

~

Splitter, splatter.

Rushing for the brollies.

Lest your hair gets wet.

~

Splitter, splatter.

The tapping on my windowsill.

A soothing lullaby as I drift to sleep…

*****

Admiration from a distance.

A simple fascination, yet complex in nature and inexplicably illogical.

An occurrence that may never have an outcome.

Or perhaps…

Such is life in all its grandeur and perversity.

*****

Adele, an English-Welsh singer has released the album, 19 containing music that showcases her self-titled genre, Heartbroken Soul.

Very soulful and jazzy, Adele’s voice is reminiscent of Duffy. Could it be that Welsh singers have this innate ability to tranfuse all emotions into contemporary soul..?

Mood: Restless

Listening to: Art of War by Vanessa Mae

Alert Wallaby, Tweed Heads NSW

Alert Wallaby, Tweed Heads NSW

The untamed soul.

Frantically searching.

For what, only he knows.

~

The wild desire.

Passion fueled by inspiration.

His will inexorable.

~

The incessant longing.

Hunger from deprivation.

His resolve all the more hardened.

~

The restless spirit.

All senses awakened.

Nothing escapes his keen sight.

Mood: Pensive

Listening to: Drifting by Enya

Enchanting Garden, Redcliffe

Enchanting Garden, Redcliffe

A journey through a long and winding path.

No one knows how far it goes.

Or if it will ever end.

~

Like a fairytale or in dreams.

The surrounding seems surreal.

Pieces in motion, so lifelike yet unreal.

~

The urge to carry on is great.

For there is nothing left behind.

Curiosity overcomes ambivalence.

~

At last, a glimmer of something.

So near yet so far.

A destination for the weary.

~

What it is, no one knows.

Only time will tell.

For the journey is the destination.

Mood: Serene

Listening to: Adia by Sarah McLachlan

It’s quiet outside.

Only a gentle breeze and the rustling of leaves.

And nothing else can be heard from without.

~

From within, I can hear my deepest thoughts.

They’re running through my mind freely.

When I close my eyes, I can see them clearly.

~

The sky is clear tonight .

Moonlight softly irradiating its dim light.

Shadows appearing in the dead of night.

~

Shadows of doubt set in my mind.

A torrent of mixed emotions ensues.

I try to control the unruly feelings.

~

The feeling of despair grows strong.

Deprivation nurturing a sense of panic.

I struggle from falling into the depths.

~

I open my eyes to see the night sky.

Despair disappearing from my thoughts.

My mind drifts into serenity once more.
